Walker Elementary received The Arkansas Joint Use Agreement (JUA) Grant which allows schools to form community partnerships in order to maximize the resources while increasing opportunities for physical activity. These grant funds allowed us to add a playground to our track area on the north side of the school This area is open for community use and includes a track, soccer field, volleyball net, and this beautiful new playground. We hope to see families enjoying this space in the evenings and on weekends.

Walker Elementary has an after school program (ROAR). We are starting a six week session on Monday that will go from February 21st to April 7th. ROAR will be Monday through Thursday from 3:00-5:30p.m. During ROAR, students will be given a snack, educational time (homework help), club time, and will be served dinner. Students must be picked up by 6:00p.m.
Limited spots are available. If you are interested in signing up your child for ROAR, contact their classroom teacher for an informational sign up note.
On Wednesday, February 16 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Springdale Public Schools, in partnership with Tyson Foods, will be hosting a drive-through food giveaway for Springdale Public School families. This event will be at the Treehouse Pantry, located at 802 West Allen Avenue, Springdale, AR.
