Dear Walker Families,
The weather forecast is showing a significant weather event to hit our area Wednesday. To keep our students safe, we will not have school in person at Walker tomorrow (Wednesday, February 2, 2022). We are sending home devices for an AMI (alternative method of instruction) day. All students will have assignments to work on remotely.
More directions will be coming through a Walker Parent AMI Newsletter that will be shared through email and text to the contact information we have on file. Teachers will also send emails and messages through See Saw and Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please send an email to ryan@sdale.org. If you need to pick up a device, our office is open until 4:30 pm today. Our office phone number is 479-750-8874.
Thank you for your help and support,

Attention Walker Parents,
We will be taking group pictures for the yearbook tomorrow. Please have your child wear their black Walker t-shirt if they are in the following activities: EAST, Cross Country, GT, KKids, Choir, Drumline, WNN, NEHS, and Shakespeare. EAST students should wear the EAST t-shirt (if they have one).
Thank you!

Dear Walker Parents,
We will be having face to face learning today. Please make sure to return all devices and chargers. Students will need these devices for learning in the classrooms.
The temperatures have dropped so make sure to bundle your child in heavy coats , hats and gloves so they can stay warm getting into the school building.

Walker Families,
In anticipation of bad weather impacting road conditions, Walker Elementary will not have our Roar program. All students will be dismissed at 3:00.
All students are taking home devices today (K-1 iPads and 2nd-5th Chrome Books) to prepare for the possibility of weather issues impacting our face to face instruction day tomorrow.
With Arkansas weather, it is hard to predict. Hopefully this is just a precaution and students will return to school tomorrow.
Should roads become an issue causing us to pivot to AMI learning at home, you will receive a subsequent communication.
Thank you for your help and support,
Lynn Ryan
Principal
