Dear Bulldogs and Parents/Guardians,
The SHS administrative team would like to welcome you to Springdale High School. Mr. Jason Jones is the principal, Dr. Lynn Faught is the asst. principal over student services, and Mr. Don Eichenberger is the senior principal. We are all located in the main office. Dr. Remington Myers, juniors, and Mr. Kevin Snavely, sophomores, are the other two assistant principals and they are located in the South Office. We are all available to help you with any questions or concerns you might have.
Several of you have already asked some questions, so we thought we would try to address some of the most common ones...
- When do I start if I chose the blended learning model? If you are a 5 day on-site or a MWF on-site blended student, then your first day will be tomorrow, Aug. 24. If you are blended TTh on-site student then your first day will be Tuesday, Aug. 25.
- What school supplies do I need? All you need for your first day of school will be your fully charged Chromebook (If you don't have it yet, then don't worry because you will be getting it soon), pen/pencil, and a notebook. We also encourage students to bring a personal refillable water bottle. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all water fountains have been turned off and capped. We do have some water bottle filling stations and there are plenty of sinks where you can refill your water bottle.
- Where can I park and do I need a parking pass if I drive my own car? There are plenty of parking spaces on campus for students. Students may park in several locations on the SHS campus. You can access the student parking info here...http://bit.ly/SHSStudentParking. You can purchase a parking permit in the main office, but we will not be checking for permits until students have an opportunity to purchase a permit.
Remember that on Monday and Tuesday, students will report to their Advisory period first and then be dismissed to 1st period. Advisory lists are posted in various locations around the campus.
